Pause for a moment and think back to the last meeting you attended where a group came together to discuss a difficult situation, and a decision needed to be made.
As you think back, you’ll probably remember several people who appeared to be out of their depth, struggling to get their points across and getting frustrated.
Those people may well have looked harassed, angry, or even fearful.
I’m sure they felt passionately that the group should make a particular decision yet, somehow, they couldn’t make it happen.
You may also remember someone there who was relaxed, confident and happy to go with the flow of the debate. They probably got exactly what they wanted from the meeting without even trying.
People like this exude quiet self-assurance and are able to guide groups easily towards a rational decision. A decision that is the one they wanted from the start.
The difference between these two types of people is stark.
The confident people are like this because they have developed a keen awareness of everything that is going on around them. They know all of the agendas and arguments and can intuitively sense which way the political wind is blowing.
They have also learned how to make use of this intelligence and can do so easily without resorting to manipulation.
The quality of life these two types of people have is also dramatically different:
A life of frustration, uncertainty and indecision…
… versus one of confidence, certainty and self-assurance.
If you’d like to transform your world, and your life, you need the tools and the will to make it happen.
In my experience, anyone can make this transformation if they are committed and diligently apply simple processes – and you can get there too.
Over the years, I have helped many people to reach this state, even in the most challenging of situations. Or, rather, especially in the most challenging of situations.
