While walking with a new friend, she shared with me her dream to be a writer.
I asked her, “What have you published?”
Nothing.
Not a single word out there in the gaze of critical eyes, in any form. Not even a tweet.
As with so many dreamers, they just love to drift, romanticising about their dream, flitting here and there.
This is as relevant to the dream of being a writer as to achieving high office.
Within 10 minutes my new friend had a concrete plan of action, a clear “get started” strategy, and more importantly, the inspiration to get started.
Trouble is, it’s easy when you know how!
